The News:

G4D Participatory Solutions

Many organizations simply lack the time, resources, or processes to engage stakeholders, gather quality information, and make the tough decisions needed to maximize strategic and service recipient benefits. Powered by in-person and online Innovation Games®, the G4D Participatory Solutions process engages both your internal and external stakeholders and, when needed, the community-at-large to greatly improve the validity of the results.

G4D Participatory Solutions are right for your organization if:

    * You are looking for an effective community engagement framework for collaborating with stakeholders, clients, and constituencies.
    * Your teams are stuck and can’t make the tough calls about what to focus on next.
    * You’ve got more half-baked ideas than time to address them.
    * You’ve got willing participants but no process for moving forward.
    * You've got budget or resource constraints that need to be prioritized.

G4D Participatory Solutions is a five-step process we’ve developed in association with The Innovation Games® Company to help organizations collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and constituencies to generate ideas, research and flesh-out those ideas, and then prioritize them.

    * Participatory Planning and Design. You will work with a facilitator from the Games for Democracy team to identify your goals and assess your current situation. We will then create an execution plan that includes a mix of online and in-person games designed around your specific needs.
    * Participatory Ideation. We’ll play Innovation Games® with your clients or constituents and key stakeholders to generate the raw ideas that will be used throughout the process. Our emphasis in this phase is open-ended, divergent games.
    * Participatory Evaluation and Elaboration. We’ll evaluate and elaborate the results of the ideation phase to create a set of ideas and/or projects that can be prioritized.
    * Participatory Prioritization. We’ll play more Innovation Games®, this time focusing on convergent games that help further shape and prioritize the best ideas.
    * Deliver and Close. We create and deliver a summary of the results and recommendations.

The process results in a manageable set of new ideas, enhancements, or prioritized items that have been validated by your stakeholders, clients, and constituencies.

We also offer the following customized processes:
Participatory Budgeting
Participatory Sustainability
